Quantum’s SuperLoader 3 expands from eight to 16 cartridge slots and with LTO-5 provides performance of up to 280MB/sec (compressed 2:1) and capacity of up to 48TB (compressed 2:1). Quantum’s SuperLoader3 with LTO-5 is available in a high-speed 6Gb/s SAS interface to allow for easy installation and integration into customers datacenters. The features of the LTO-5 tape drive include native 256-AES encryption, WORM
capability, and a new partitioning functionality that enables tape aware file
searches. This new partitioning feature addresses the growing needs of marketplace
segments such as rich media.
Quantum’s LTO-5 tape drives also protects customers’ investments by providing backward read and write compatibility with LTO-4 media and backward read compatibility
with LTO-3 media. Quantum SuperLoader 3, one LTO-5 tape drive, sixteen slots, 6Gb/s SAS, rackmount, barcode reader
Includes one eight-cartridge removable magazine, Symantec Backup Exec QuickStart software,
30 data and five cleaning barcode labels, one 6.6ft (2m) SFF8088 to SFF8088 SAS cable, and
one 10ft (3.1m) Ethernet cable with RJ45 connectors. Uses SFF8088 SAS connector. Includes
North American, European and UK power cords.
